Can your mucous plug be watery?

I went to see my midwife as I lost a bit of fluid yesterday and I panicked because I thought I had a tear in my amniotic sac. She checked me out and said it was probably just my cervical mucus. I’ve just experienced a loss of fluid again, read online and some people have said your mucous plug can be extremely watery!

I’ve been losing small snot like bits from my mucous plug, I just wondered if any one else’s plug was mainly liquid?
