Every morning my husband gets out of bed a little bit before me and lits up the dining room with candles so we can eat breakfast without turning the lights on. Then he comes back to bed with me.

My first instinct is to say, no my husband is not romantic. But then again, he is in his own way. I have avid nightmares and when I cry at night, he always holds me and strokes my hair. He ALWAYS kisses my neck while I'm washing dishes because I'm "helpless" to stop him. Last summer he came home smiling like a school boy and told me to close my eyes and hold out my hands and when I did he gave me a tiny green watering can because he always sees me water my plants with a big cup and he wanted to make my life easier and green is my favorite color. It's a million little small things that makes him romantic to me.

On New Year’s Eve I was told we were going to a concert so I drove over wearing nice clothes but relaxed clothes. He decided that we were skipping the concert and would go to a really fancy bar instead. He wanted me to wear something nice but driving back to my suburb from the city and back to grab my cocktail dress would take an hour and a half probably. We had decided not to exchange Christmas gifts, since we’ve only been dating a short time, but he changed his mind and took me out to pick out a new outfit. He’d rather I pick what I want to wear. I picked cheap stuff but it was still more expensive than I’d like. He made me a really nice home cooked candlelit meal and then while I changed into my dress, he changed and lit candles in the living room and put on my favorite slow songs he’d heard me mention. We slow danced and talked before we headed to the bar. It was really sweet and romantic. I’ve never had anyone treat me the way he does. He always tells me how much he loves to see me smile and will do anything for it. All the other guys I’ve dated didn’t do romantic things and I honestly probably would’ve thought those romantic things were cheesy 😂

My boyfriend truly is the most romantic guy I’ve ever dated. He’ll surprise me with small gifts that he’s noticed has grabbed my attention, or if I even mention struggling with anything, he has the solution five minutes later. During family dinners, there’s  always a moment he’ll walk by and lean in to whisper in my ear that he loves me so much and how he appreciates me. He also will surprise me with coffee or breakfast randomly before I go to work. There’s just so many instances that I could go on and on! 
However, my ultimate favorite was is at Petsmart just being silly and shopping for our dogs, when we reach the end of an aisle, and he wraps his arms around me and bends me back for a dramatic movie-style dip kiss ❤️. It was just so spontaneous and sweet.

Every morning he wakes me up gently with mini kisses on my cheeks and forhead. Then he makes breakfast and we eat and he brushes my hair and leaves for work. And he always comes home with flowers💖  he has suprise picnics and dinners. And random dates. We have a 2 and 1 year old and it feels like we are teens in love. 21 and 23. Been together since 17 and 19.

See, I wish my hubby would think to do something like that just once. But he's not that kind of guy. And as sweet as it is that he does that for you, I'd also get tired of it being every/most mornings. But that's just me.
