Membrane sweep question

So I had my first membrane sweep today (did not feel great) and I'm 2cm (since last Friday at least), but my dr said there wasnt much there to sweep. I didnt think to ask her to elaborate on that until after I'd left so does it mean anything significant that there wasnt much there to sweep or just coincidence? Does it indicate labor could come sooner rather than later or is it just totally normal for some women?
