TTC with Shingles virus

Is it safe to continue TTC when I have shingles??

I went to a doctor today and she said it is indeed shingles. But since I have had it for approx 4 days , and the breakout has not worsened , it would not help for me to take antivirus medication. So her recommendation was to just ride it out and I should be fine ...

I also asked her about TTC with shingles and she said I should be fine since I had chicken pox as a child so contracting chicken pox is not a concern for me; and THAT is what is scary for pregnant women to contract. Chicken pox, not shingles.

But then why do people PANIC when it comes to shingles and pregnancy?!
