Hey guys!!

So me and my bf of 5 years really want to go on a trip out west this summer. But here’s the catch: his parents would not agree to this in the slightest. They think it would be inappropriate for us to go an overnight trip together without some kind of supervision. Keep in mind that he’s 25 and I’m 22. We did not wait until marriage to have sex, so an overnight trip together won’t necessarily mean sex, but his parents think the opposite. However, they don’t know that we’ve had sex and I don’t want to be the one to break it to them. My bf doesn’t want to argue with them because they’re helping to put him through med school and he feels as though it won’t do any good to argue his point. So now I’m kind of bummed because it looks like we won’t be able to take a trip together until after we’re married (which will be 3-4 years from now).

I guess this is more of a rant than anything. But does anyone have any advice or consolation? Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
