Anyone treating a big purse as one .... ?

I may be having a boy but I’m super girly and LOVE pink and bows so I got myself this diaper bag at Burlington. My mom also got us a gender neutral one- which is gray and looks like one someone posted here- so my husband can use it.

I have a diaper bag for my son but when we are going somewhere quick, like the store, I just use my purse. If we are going to daycare or somewhere for a few hours then I will use the diaper bag

I like backpacks. The messenger bags and big purses are inconvenient when you carry a child, or go places and set it down and things fall out.  My shower gift I was given a messenger bag. After switching, never went back. 
The Columbia Summit diaper bag was my first backpack, loved it because you put it on, you can run and have free hands, it’s easy to chase a toddler with it, and it clips on the handle bars of stroller so you can out stuff underneath. I have a target one now, called J is for Jeep. The netting broke on the side of my columbia bag cause my son liked to shove toys in there instead of his bottles.
