How many alphabets can your toddler identify?

Just curious if my son is on track or not. Hes around 20 letters right now. Only uppercase. We are just starting lowercase  this week.

My daughter only knows A lol BUT she counts to 15, knows all her colors and animals/animal sounds 😁

Honestly the ABC's aren't a great way to judge of your kid is "ahead" or "behind". It's a fun memorization trick. Some kids are into that type of learning right now and others aren't bit there's no reason to sit down and try to teach them (ie. flashcards). If it's from reading and they pick it up, great but if not, that's fine too. Don't worry about it. There are far better things kids this age need to be learning and practicing.

She knows maybe 5 (able to distinguish them on her own). She knows the ABC’s song but I know that’s just memorization. She knows her colors and shapes though and some numbers. She likes learning through play and I don’t push her to learn.

My kid is way behind. Doesn’t recognize any letters. She can sing the alphabet but missed a lot letters. She can count to 10 but misses numbers. She doesn’t know her colors.

My 2 year old refuses to acknowledge colors numbers or letters. But he knows Abraham Lincoln is on a penny and last night he took his tooth brush (It has a suction cup) and hung it upside down on the counter and told me look mama my toothbrush hanging upside down like a bat. He also told me sharkies have a lot of teeth that fall out. 😂 he retains what he wants to. The alphabet is not one of them

When I can get my wild man to sit still for a moment lol he can identify all of his letters (he does get confused sometimes with uppercase E and F though because they look similar), he can count to 13 and identify the number 0-10, knows all of his colors, and can identify most shapes.

He knows shapes and some colors. His vocabulary is growing daily. He is trying to write his name, but only draws circles while saying C-O, his name is Cooper.

My daughter can identify 2 letters.. lol but she is potty trained. Can sing the whole alphabet,  can count to 20 and to 5 in Spanish and knows a huge portion of animals and their sounds. She is also extremely well spoken and can "read" books back to me after just a few times of reading. We are working on it though with flash cards. I've decided to start with the same letter every day until she learns it and add one on everyday that she gets it right
