Is 33 years old too old to have a baby?

I’m looking at having #3 when I turn around 33-34... I’m trying to convince hubby Sooner but based on finances its looking like I’ll be that old. My friends keep telling me that it’s high risk at that age and that I have likely hood of complications and chromosome problems. Would I be too old at that age?

Absolutly not! To put it nicely, your friends are morons. Plenty of women have babies older than this. I'm 36 and pregnant with my 2nd baby.

It’s definitely not too old! I am 38 and 12 weeks with my first. I’ll be 39 when I deliver.

It's not considered advanced maternal age until 35, and that's when risks begin to increase. However, it's not like the second you turn 35, you're doomed. Plenty of women 35 and older have perfectly healthy pregnancies, you just receive a little more monitoring when you're AMA. But 33 isn't AMA, you would be fine.

I’m 34 and 23 weeks pregnant. So far no issues whatsoever. I spoke to my doctor a couple of years ago about my plans and he had no concerns. Just keep your body healthy through exercise and diet. Lots of women are having children later in life.

Definitely not to old, my husband's mom had him at 43 it was her first and only pregnancy.

I think it depends on the person and situation. 
If you are both in good health and this is what you want then go for it! 
I personally dont want to be pregnant after 30. Im currently 19w with #3 and i just turned 27. I also have friends who dont want to START having kids until after they turn 30 🤷🏻‍♀️ Dont let anyones standards define what you do.

Look you can have complications at any age 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had complications with all three . First I was 16 when I got pregnant had her at 17. Second I was 19 had her at 20. Third I was 27 when I got pregnant 28 when I had him. 🤷🏻‍♀️  all three I have a few serious complications so age don’t mean crap

I'm 35 and pregnant with my 3rd. I have had a lot of morning sickness compared to my other pregnancies 10 years ago. I don't know that my age has anything to do with it though. Other than that everything else has been fine. I'm a healthy person generally so I'm sure that helps. I keep telling my husband who is 38, age is just a number and you are only as old as you feel :) Good luck and best wishes. You will be fine :)

I think the age you choose to have a baby is relative. 
I want to be done having kids by 27-28. Some others want to start having kids at 30-32. Do what’s best for your family.
