Is the Maury show fake. Answer my follow up question in the comments pls

I’ve always figured it was completely scripted. I was just watching my recorded episode of Steve wilkos and when it went off I saw a glimpse of the Maury show. A mom was finding out if her deceased son was the father of a young woman’s baby. If the show is fake and is such a dramatic mess why would someone want to find out such important info like that on there? Or did they just completely lie about the possible father being dead for a better story line?

Yes, the show is fake, but the DNA test results are real. I could see someone, who is extremely low on funds, going along with the trashy nonsense if they were that desperate for answers.

From what I’ve heard from people that go on the show make everything up to get on that show. Sure there might be people that are real but most are probably fake.

Yes it’s fake. I had a friend go on there as a minor on one of those out of control teen episodes

All those kind of shows and reality tv showed are roughly scripted. People kind of act as their character but don’t always actually follow a script.

Its fake. My SIL dad went on there for one of the paternity episodes. His daughter was 4 at the time & was a planned child, she also lived at home with him and her mom living a happy life. He just wanted to be on tv.

It's somewhat true/fake. Some of the issues are real but are made more dramatic for TV. I had a teacher in middle school that was on an episode where people wanted to show how they've changed thanks to an influential person in their life. I don't remember all of the details since I was told that a long time ago.

I think people just want trips because the show pays for hotel and airfare so they dramatize their situation to get on the show.
