baby is here!! 37+1

Atreyu Alexander, 5lbs 14oz

I started having contractions last night around 7pm. then all night. I was timing them In between sleeping. and finally around 630am, my contraction timing app told me emergency, true labor-time to head to the hospital. and off we went! by the time I arrived at the hospital, I was already at 6cm.

they admitted me, and told me I'd get the epidural. I was in a world of pain- I've never experienced contractions or labor before.

*first daughter was born at 37+0 but I had preeclampsia and had a completely different experience. I got the epidural after an hour maybe more...they had a hard time finding a good vein to draw blood from, and the cervix check caused me to become hysterical and start crying...OUCH! so finally got the epidural. I was gradually progressing, but the doctor had to come in and break my water. within 20-30 minutes, it was time to push!

baby was born at 2:46pm. he was facing upwards, came out crying like crazy. I was crying. he is so perfect!

we've been nursing (he was immediately a pro) and we get to leave on Saturday and go home. ♡♡♡
