Baby is here! 40+1 unmedicated birth

She made it! I’ve said all along she’d be late but I thought she’d be late-ER than 1 day! My first was 6 days late! Woke up yesterday with pretty bad constant back pain and a stomach ache but no contractions. The back ache made me wonder if it was early labor, well about 2:45pm the contractions started coming every 10 mins but no worse than BH. Just consistent. They slowly got closer together and when I got home from work I got in the bath tub and pretty much camped out there the rest of the night. It was the only thing that eased the back pain. I told my mom I might be in labor but not sure since she’s 3 hours away so she decided to head this way. About midnight I decided to try to sleep and see if it stops. I wake up 30 mins later to painful contractions that are manageable so I got back in the bath. I start having to breathe through the contractions and they’re getting closer together so about 4:45 I call my bestie and ask her to come over to stay with our other kids and we head to the hospital around 6ish. By the time we get there they’re getting BAD and I’m moaning and breathing etc. Get checked and I’m 7-8cm dilated! Got to a room and labor for a bit, they check and I’m 9 I’m saying I’m done I just want to be done so they offer to break my water to get me to 10. Do it and we’re ready to push a couple mins later. 10

Mins and 3 contractions of pushing and our beautiful girl is in our arms!! 7 lbs 9 oz, 20.5” long. This labor and delivery was so different from my first it’s crazy! So glad she’s here and been nursing like a champ!!
