Will he ever ask for my hand?

So me and my bf have been dating for 4 and 1/2 years now and he hasn’t proposed. We barely talk about it but he told me last year he would most likely propose this year. I say little hints here and there but I feel like I’m just pissing him off and being impatient. Is there anything I should do? I feel super weird about it. Any advice is great advice lol please lmk 😊 we are 20 and 21

Giiirl. Me F&$@ing too!  I’ve been with my man for 6years this July. Over Christmas there was just some kind of spark and he was talking about wanting to get married, even told my parents (because they ask all the time) “it will be soon, just not too soon.” And I saw on his history that he had been looking at engagement rings so I’m over here twiddling my thumbs like it’s gonna happen ANY MINUTE.  But it’s not.. SO I’ve stopped being anxious because I want to be genuinely surprised when he does decided the time is right.  
Just wait it out and don’t pressure him. But the occasional engagement ring pic won’t hurt. Then he’ll have an idea for what you like.

How old are y'all? Stop asking him about it! If he's planning to do it, he's probably waiting until he thinks you've forgotten or when you haven't asked in a while. Quit dropping hints!! Let it be!

I was in the same boat at your age. At 19 & 21 we'd been together for 3 years, living together for 2. I wanted to be engaged so desperately, and I felt like I nagged him about it no matter how hard I tried not to. In know you're excited, and I know its hard, but try to focus on something else and just let it happen. My hubby wanted to surprise me with a sweet proposal SO bad, but I was looking for signs around every corner, so he proposed as I walked in the door from work one day just to be able to catch me off guard. He told me about a big romantic plan he'd made, but he knew I'd suspect something and wanted it to be a surprise. I felt like a jerk for ruining his plans.

Honestly I wouldn’t wait any longer if I was you. Why wait for a man to tell you you’re good enough at his disposal. If it’s taken him that long to propose to you he’s probably too dumb to see how good you are. A little harsh but tying to be honest here. Just my opinion but I hope things do work out for yourself.
