What the Actual FFFFFF???!!!!

My husband and I went through a miscarriage back in August around 8 weeks. I’ve always been open about my story, in the hopes that it will touch and support someone who may need it.

Today was baby’s due date, and I wanted to honor her. I wrote a long post about it, posted it, and was done. I won’t get into the details because this post isn’t actually meant to be about my miscarriage.....And to my surprise I get these absolutely appalling messages from my father...

My responses are in blue, his in gray. I should state that we’ve never had the best relationship on the account of his own actions, but as I am a grown woman, and I am a total empath, I forgave and moved on with my life. But to be as manipulative as this AND on a day like today.....thank you, next. There is two sides to every story, however in my mind these text messages were tasteless and completely uncalled for.

I just needed to vent and hear from some people that I’m not totally fucking crazy that my adrenaline has been pumping for 2 straight hours over this. Ugh 🙄

Ps - I called my mom because I was upset....she’s ready to roll and told me she’s fine “rocking an orange jumpsuit” if she needed to 🤣

EDIT: I realize many of you can see both sides here, so let me just make it known that my father and I do not speak regularly. I’m talking MAYBE 4-6 times a year (happy birthday, happy Father’s Day, merry Christmas). He has gone out of his way to ignore the invitations I’ve repeatedly sent his way, and plays the “dad card” when it is most convenient for him to do so. THIS has been the type of relationship I’ve had with him my entire life. So please understand that he is not a normal, huge part of my life, and there is quite a bit of distance (figuratively) between us, even though we literally live 10 minutes away from one another.
