Is it a good idea?

So it’s my senior year of high school and I’ve never had a boyfriend. I haven’t even had my first kiss yet. (Just defended my pride here, I’ve talked to boys, but then realized before we started anything that I didn’t like them anymore.) I’ve been on a couple dates, and recently this guy and I have been talking. We are both seniors, and he will be at a college about 2 hours away from me. He is really really my type and i kinda want to start something. My friends warn me about my desire to not be tied down when I go to college in 6 months, but I don’t really think that’s a good enough reason to just drop this for good. I think my urge to date someone may cloud my judgement, but I feel like I’m coming to really like this boy. What would you guys do in this situation??
