Does it mean anything when you get strong ovulation cramps?

So probably for about the last 6 months I get strong ovulation cramps, close to period cramps but not quite as strong as my period cramps. I’m 27 and until recently I’ve never even noticed ovulation cramps before. Just curious if anyone knows if this means anything or is there a medical reason for this.

Or is this normal for some people does anyone else experience strong ovulation cramps?

I don’t know if it matter I also have very heavy periods with sometimes unbearable cramping, and nausea.
