Antidepressants while breastfeeding?

Question

I’m currently breastfeeding my 4week old and not willing to switch to formula. However I have postpartum depression and my doctor recommended antidepressants. I declined initially due to breastfeeding but now I’m starting to consider them as I’m really not in a good place. But I don’t want them unless safe for breastfeeding. 
Looking for advice from people’s experiences! Thanks x

Sertraline (Zoloft) was the PPD medication I was prescribed. It's the safest in the market for breastfeeding. Extremely small amounts to none get to your little.
It saved my life if I'm being completely honest. If you don't like your doctor, seek out a other. It's the only way you'll receive an Rx.

Your doctor show know what anti depressants you should take and how much would be transferred to your baby. My doctor put me on Zoloft then cymbalta ask your doctor

I take celexa(citalopram) and ebf. I have been on it since 35 weeks pregnant and now am 16 days pp. I was also hesitant at first and declined medication... I was so worried about the things id read on google of potential risks. But honestly i am so glad i started taking them. I feel so good. My depression started about 20 weeks pregnant. I wish i started back then... And my baby girl is perfectly healthy.
