Sneak Peek @ home with males in the room?

When I did my sneak peek at home test I did it in the kitchen. We have quite a big kitchen and my husband and male dog (do animals make a difference??) were in the room but sat at the opposite end whilst I did the test and I never touched them during the process, they also didn’t touch any of the package or surfaces I did it on.

Is my result still accurate?

Why can’t males be in the room as long as they don’t touch anything?

I got a boy result and I’m wondering if it’s accurate because I feel my 12w scan has a girl nub (from what I can see and what I’ve been told) and I still have a gut feeling I’m having a girl 🤷🏼‍♀️
