Has anyone dealt with random diarrhea with their LO?

My son has suddenly had wetter poops for the last 5 days. He had stopped pooping at night after being put to bed, but starting last Sunday, he’s been pooing at night again, sometimes back to back. It started green, and he whimpered a bit the first night. Has returned to his normal color, but still really wet. Yesterday, we started to see a little mucus, no blood, in his diaper. His mood is still upbeat, no fevers, and no pain (has a little diaper rash that we’re treating). Nurse said it’s fine as long as he’s not pooping more than 12 times a day and no mucous. Scheduling a visit today, but wanted to see if anyone else is going through something similar. He drools a ton, could that be it? Also puts EVERYTHING in reach in his mouth. I’m a germaphobe, so I do my best to make sure everything that falls on the floor gets cleaned or rinsed. No harsh chemicals though. I am EBF so I’m eliminating dairy for a couple of weeks. Usually eat greek yogurt most mornings for the probiotic, but never had this happen before.
