Progesterone- it take or not to take?

Last 2 pregnancies I was given progesterone supositories to take just because of how long it has taken to conceive and I suffer from some autoimmune illnesses. However my new gynocologist isn't keen on them and says there is no evidence they help- which to be fair didn't prevent my last two ending in miscarriage. Question is iv just found I'm in pregnant (second round of clomid) and I do have progesterone here which will take me to 11 weeks. Do I contact the gynocologist, just take the progesterone to support the early pregnancy as soon as possible or just not bother using it because it didn't help before and no evidence I should need it?
