Three Little words "I LOVE YOU"

So my boyfriend (we can call him B) and I have known each other since we were kids and just started dating about 5 months ago so about 2 months ago.Well we were sitting in the car while B was on break at work and when he went to go back in we kissed and he said " I LOVE YOU" looked back and said "I'm sorry" and jumped out... 3 months later and B hasn't said it again.i love him and I think he might feel the same way but what should I do.i don't want to freak him out
