Am I right to be upset?

My fiancé told me that as a celebration for me graduating college and working so hard that we could go on a vacation together, just the two of us. He’s always going on vacation with his friends so this made me really happy. He told me I could pick anywhere I want. I chose Disney World. My fiancé basically just said that’s childish, we aren’t going there because he wants a “real” vacation and dismissed it entirely saying we are going to go to Daytona Beach instead to watch racing. Am I right to be upset by this?

Yup, you have every right to be mad. I don't see why he feels entitled to dictate where you go like he's the one who graduated college. He could at least throw out some suggestions of different places that you both can agree on if Disney wasn't something he wanted to do

I bet ya his friends are already going there and thats why, ies stand my ground and say we are not going there. You said i could pick and i pick disney world. Ornpick a different place you would like to go. Ied be mad to your the one whos graduating and he said you could pick anywhere you want to go

I'd just say "well, since you don't actually want to do what I want, like you claimes, you just want to take a vacation to do what you want, why don't you just take one of your guy friends and I will do something else that I actually want to do on my own. Have fun"..
I mean, it isn't as if you can't do both. Florida isn't that big. You can see almost everything worth seeing in a week or two... the fact he isn't even willing to spend 1 day on this vacation "for you" doing what you want seems like a red flag to me.

We wtf let him pay for the whole thing then and go and then when you get back plan a trip going where you want and go with your friends.

I'd be upset that he took back his word. However, I'd ask him to compromise and do a day at Disney (whatever park you wanted to go to) or Disney Springs.  It's honestly not *that* far of a drive from Daytona to Orlando. (A little over an hour.)

Uhhh yeah. The vacation is supposed to be for you. So tell him no we are not going to Daytona Beach. If we can't go where i want then we sure as hell are not going where you want. What about the Bahamas?

Disney is really expensive. Is he the only one funding the trip? Maybe you can do one day at Disney then go elsewhere

Disney and Daytona are maybe an hour apart. Why don’t you send him to the races, and you go have fun at the parks? 
We rented a VRBO near Orlando a couple of years ago, and did just this.

You have a right to be upset but at the same time can't you compromise? I'd just spend two days in the park and the rest of the week or however long elsewhere?
