Clingy 2 year old

Has anyone else's toldder become SOOO CLINGY after realizing your pregnant? I told him I was having a baby and its like ever since then he can't leave my sight! He's so cute because now he's this little helper out of nowhere! Like if I drop something he comes running! I wonder if he is like this because I'm having a girl??(idk gender yet) anyone had a clingy kid with same sex or opposite sex baby? Or if the kid didnt want to be around you with same sex or opposite sex baby?/
