own room?

my son is 5 months old and we just moved into a new house that doesn’t have enough room for his pack n play in our room. his room is right down the hall. 
how do i transition him to his own room? i have night cameras as well.

We kept our son in his plack n play, just moved it into his room. We did all of his naps and diaper changes in there during the day to help him be familiar with that space before bedtime. We just use our regular monitor, no video.

I got the flu when my lo was 5.5 months. I just started laying him down in his room at night so I wouldn’t wake him up coughing. His room is right next to ours. We don’t have cameras just old school baby monitors.

We started daytime naps in her crib in her room for a cpl weeks before transitioning to night time  sleep in there. Every baby is different though. Might take a completely different strategy for your kiddo. Good luck and try not to stress- just when we get used to their routine they like to go and switch things up on us/ gotta keep us on our toes lol

I didn’t do anything special to transition. We just tried putting him down in his crib instead of our room and he did great! You could put the pack n play in the other room for a few nights before putting him in the crib to help ease the transition but that wasn’t necessary for us.
