HSG/IUI pain

Did anyone else experience significant pain during the HSG? I went in early in the morning having taken the suggested two Advil prior and proceeded to pass out not once, but twice during the procedure. I found the insertion of the catheter incredibly painful, so much that I think my body just said, no way, and shut down momentarily. I’m starting the process of getting an IUI this cycle (April 30th is the estimated date) and I’m nervous about the pain (or just passing out all over again.)

I should say that I have a relatively average pain tolerance (hey I’m tattooed all over lol) so I was surprised by my body’s reaction. Any advice y’all have would be much appreciated!
