Did you lock your pets out of your bedroom at night with new baby?

Specially cats... I’ve been debating back and forth if they should be shut out of our bedroom when we are sleeping and know I need to make up my mind soon..

I have 2 dogs and they sleep wherever baby sleeps. If he's napping on the bed early morning (with me sitting on the bed too) they are in our room. When he's in his crib at night, they sleep on the floor next to him. During the day when he naps in the living room, they lay next to his pack n play. 
Cats are a different story though. Dogs (well I guess most dogs) don't jump into cribs, bassinets, pack n plays, but cats do. If you usually have your cat with you in your room maybe try it out for a couple night and see? If you haven't already, set up all the baby stuff and let your cat explore it that way when baby arrives the cat won't be too interested in the baby things.

My dogs don’t sleep, or come in, any of our bedrooms. One is in a kennel and the other on a bed. 
We put a gate across the hallway to our kids rooms so they can’t go in there and they know not to come in our room. 
I’d honestly shut them out so they get the picture that they need to sleep elsewhere.

I haven’t had my baby yet (38+2), but we’re going to let them be in the room, at least to try it. We set up baby’s pack ‘n play and the glider about a week and a half ago so the cats could get used to it. They were curious about it and the first night one jumped into the pack ‘n play. I’m a very light sleeper so I heard him and yelled at him to get out. Neither have been in the pack ‘n play or on the glider since or even cared about them so we’ll see.

I haven’t had bub yet but we are trying to make the crib super unappealing for cats. But having a nursing chair that cats are allowed to sit on. I’m also thinking of installing a screen door in bubs room so cats won’t be able to go in. 
My cats are my first babies so I’m doing my best to make a smooth transition. But I do worry as they are very cuddly.

I haven’t had her yet but I probably will have to. One of my cats would probably just ignore her while the other would try and sleep with her. He likes sleeping on my head a great majority of the time so I’m not going to chance it.

My cat is really good about giving space when she sleeps. I’ll see how it goes the first night but if she gets to close or wakes baby up she will have to sleep with my other kids.
