Shoud I quit or keep trying?

S • SML

Had appt Friday to check on baby. I was hoping for shocking new like "tuere' a 2nd heartbeat" or at least "baby is growing just fine" but instead they couldn't find the placenta at all. They searched and searched sent me to another room to get on another monitor on to hear no heart beat and placenta was attached/embedded onto the uterus wall. Not only was the baby dissovled to a mere speck in the placenta that was oddly continue to grow like everything was ok but it waa ectopic and verging life threatening if the growing wasn't stopped.

So what seemed like a normal day to get good/great news I got a double blow and spent the rest of the evening in baby triage center at the nearby hospital to get an MRI and treatmemt to make the placenta dissolve. Sad doesn't quite capture feeling. This is my 4th pregnancy and 2nd loss. And it wasn't like the other pregnancies weren't without a bit of concern:

Baby 1: spontaneous heavy bleeding/suspected ruptured fibroid i may or may not have had

Baby 2: heart issue; miscarriage 6-8wks

Baby 3: slight arrhythmia; at birth placenta had little to no fluid

Baby 4: ectopic

I don't know if i want to keep trying for more or count my blessing and call it quits at 2 surviving kids that I have.

Should I quit or keep going? What would you do if it were you?
