Hypertension

Does anyone have experience with chronic hypertension during pregnancy? I was just diagnosed today and prescribed baby aspirin regimen. I see a specialist in 2 weeks, and I’m 14 weeks 2 days today. Baby was measuring fine, everything else with me is completely healthy. I’ve just noticed an increase in blood pressure the past few months (starting nov) and got pregnant in Jan. What was your experience and how was it managed? I want to do everything I can to keep it under control and just looking for basic advice before speaking to the specialist. Thanks!
