Would you say anything?

Question

July will be a year that I've been at my job. I only make $10.50/hr, which was a pay cut for me but the manager that hired me said it was the best she could do, and I haven't gotten any raises since I started. 
We now have a different manager and two new girls just started within the last month, I know I have more experience than both of them and they make $12! It doesn't seem fair to me. I am 32 weeks pregnant now and will be leaving soon, so I don't want to seem like I'm fighting for something when I'll be leaving, but that could also be almost 2 months of a pay raise if they bumped it up to match. 
I'm not sure if it's worth saying anything? I have a feeling my manager will just tell me that she has no control over it. Would you bring it up?

Absolutely bring it up, if there isn't anything that can be done at least you'll know you tried.

I would bring it up. Why should they start at a higher rate than you when youve been there longer with more  experience? Thats not right at all.

Well generally raises happen only once a year unless you get promoted within that time as well. I would definitely talk to your manager about it and find out when raises happen. But this isn’t unusual btw unfortunately lots of times new hires get more than people who’ve been there for a while but a year really isn’t long. Find out what the range for your position is, be prepared to explain with examples why you deserve to get paid more and I’m not talking about just saying you deserve more because new people are getting paid more. I’m talking about the kind of work you do and why you’re valuable as an employee

Are you leaving permanently or just for maternity leave? If it’s permanently I wouldn’t say anything. You run the risk of them ending your job earlier if you do. If it’s for maternity leave you could ask about a pay raise when you come back to work. I doubt they’d be willing to give one prior to you taking time off.

Bring it up. They should be able to give you something. If they don’t then you don’t really want to be working there anyways.

You can bring it up, I will say this though. I started my job higher than everyone but they can’t get raises because the company has a freeze on raises right now. (To my defense I was getting hired BACK after working threee for 6 years prior ). But I heard they’re hiring everyone at high rates now, but they can’t change people’s current pays ! It sucks 😳
