How much do you feel is fair for in home daycare?

Say it's a they provide breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks. Along with care 6am-6pm. Cpr&First aid certified with a small group of 3-5 kids under 4yrs of age. Teaching and play also not just TV all day.

Let me just state most people in my area OFFER 20-25 an hour for babysitting just their child. I would want to charge about that because although I'll have other kids I'll be providing two (healthy) meals and two snacks along with a structured day that includes arts, learning, etc

None of the daycares in my area charge by the hour. Most of them are $25-35 a day and the kids can’t stay more than 10 hours. Personally, I wouldn’t be willing to pay per hour unless my kid(s) are the only ones you’re watching.

If it’s a babysitter that only cares for your child, $10-$15 an hour is pretty average. If it’s an in-home daycare center which provides car to other children as well, I wouldn’t pay hourly. I’d pay around $200 a week for care.

My in home daycare is $200 for a full week, $50 per day for part time, 7a-5p. They’re licensed with a preschool curriculum, and provide all meals and snacks once baby is on solid food. I pay $5 per kid for a music teacher to come in once a month, and they always try to get on the library visit list (apparently that’s super competitive and they didn’t get a slot this year).
I could never, ever afford $10/hr or more, that would add up to almost $800 per week for me since I have 2 kids.
Doing the math, if my provider is charging $50/day and has 5 kids on that day (the max per state law is 8) they’re making $25/hour that day.
