Change poopy diaper while asleep?

My daughter likes to poop and then immediately fall asleep. 🤦‍♀️ It’s like I wait hours for her to fall asleep and then this happens. Obviously I don’t want her to sit in poo...but when I change the diaper, she wakes up and won’t go back to sleep. Don’t judge me, I am just a sleep deprived mom, standing here, wondering if my baby can sit in her poo for just a little while? 😬😬

My baby was the same when she was a newborn. Eating stimulates their digestive system so this is common if they are feeding and fall asleep. No matter how tired I was, I personally always changed her.  I would not want someone to let me sit in poop because they were tired. Plus their skin is so delicate you are just asking for diaper rash if you let her sit in it. Then she is likely to be uncomfortable and even less likely to sleep. Finally, I figured she would not sleep that long in poop anyway. It’s gross and uncomfortable. Might as well change it and give yourself a shot at a longer stretch of sleep. 
The good news is that they don’t do this for that long. Hang in there and power through it. You can do it! And ask for help if you can.

How old is your child? Do you turn on lights or talk to her during the change? Is it a certain time of day/night she always goes - or a certain trigger that you can move back too earlier in the day? 
My kid used to do the same thing, except at Naptime. Without fail, soon as the lights go out, BAM poop and sound asleep! 😑 So frustrating! I only turned on a little nightlight, no interaction, just changed the diaper, gave a kiss and left. After consistency with that, a routine was established, and eventually didn't wakeup for diaper changes at all.

Next time do a thick layer of cream and powder so if your at the point where your severely exhausted then at least there will be some protection from it burning

If you don’t change her the poop gets all dried on her bum and it’s so hard to clean. My little one has pooped after we both were asleep and I’ve woke up hours later to a poop diaper that I have to peel off his bum and then just give him a bath cause wipes are useless lol
