My son has a cold, hes been coughing. Im not sure if this is from coughing or pink eye. Does anyone know? I made an appointment, but i want to make sure.

Hey momma! Ophthalmic technician here. It’s called a subconjunctival hemorrhage. Very minor one. It’s from coughing. The force of coughing can break a little blood vessel on the white of the eye. It’s totally harmless 😊. Goes away on its own in 1-2 weeks but because that one is minor it could go away sooner.
