Transitioning from bassinet to crib?

Hi all, I just wanted to see when people started the transition of their little one in their own room. We don’t cosleep my son has slept in his bassinet in our room. He’s currently 12 weeks, which I feel is young to transition based on what I read online (it says 6 months) however, he’s starting to get big for his bassinet - he likes to sleep with his arms stretched out and he can’t really do that anymore in the bassinet. He moves around a ton and takes naps in his crib and loves it. Our room isn’t big enough for a crib and he’s never slept in a pack and play and I don’t know if introducing another sleeping space would be confusing, especially since he does well in his crib.

I guess my question is is it too soon to move him? I feel like I’m more worried about the transition for me than for him! But it would be nice to have our room back
