Deployments- going with them

My partner has asked if I’d go with him on a three year deployment with him to a warmer climate while he works out there.. (hypothetically as not booked etc)

But do you think I’m being unreasonable saying to him this is a hell of a lot to consider as for me it wouldn’t just be leaving my family it would be shutting my business for three years and putting two horses in full time livery etc..

he says it’s his career and I’m being silly shooting a chance like this? Or even just thinking about it?

We would receive a extra £1000 on his wage for me but tbh after I’ve taken out two full livery this would leave with a lot less that I’d earn at home.

Thoughts anyone/ or has anyone done it?
