Pregnant and getting dental work done

Anyone else have any dental work other than a cleaning done while they were pregnant? I'm going tiday for a much needed fix on a tooth. It had been filled before and the filling was large and felk out. They said they're going to try cleaning it up and re filling it. However it has been pretty sore and achey and super sensitive. They said if they hit the nerve while trying to clean it up they will just pull it. I really wish they would just pull it anyhow as the tooth has caused so many problems over the last year or two. The same tooth on the other side went thru the same issues and ended up being pulled. I have a paper from my OB saying what medications they can use and procedures and whatnot. I'm no stranger to dental work, i was in a car accident when i was 7 and lost 5 of my adult teeth. Since then I've had many dental surgeries and even have 5 dental implants i got when i was 16 after having braces for a couple years. I guess what I'm getting at is has anyone been pregnant and had a tooth pulled? Did they give you any pain medication? Is it even safe for the pain meds? I just remember it being a sore couple days with the last tooth pulled and not getting anything. But i also wasn't pregnant then. Thanks for any input!
