Vaginal birth or C section??

I’m a FTM 30 weeks with di/di twin boys. This whole pregnancy, my OBGYN has really wanted me to do a vaginal birth as long as babies are in proper position, health, etc. Well we found out at our appointment that week that both boys are head down and everything is looking good. So doctor is excited and happy with the chances of a vaginal birth. I absolutely love my doctor and completely trust her and I’ve told her from the beginning that I just want to do what’s best/safest for me and the babies. I don’t really have a preference about how ever they get here just as long as we’re all healthy in the end. I’ve been telling people this though and I get SO many comments and it’s starting to bug me! People are super shocked and keep pushing the c section. I just respond to them that I’ll follow my doctor’s advice. But I’m just curious I guess about how many of you twin mama’s had a vaginal birth? And I mostly just needed to vent 😂😂

Vaginal here! In fact my twins were my VBAC! They were mo/di born 9 minutes apart. They’re 5 months old now.

I had to deliver my twins csection due to baby A being breech...however my sister was able to deliver her twins vaginally with no problems.

I'm absolutely planning a vaginal. Di/di, both head down. My doctor thinks that's the best option too. I've had 3 vaginal deliveries before and am very hopeful. I never got the whole "surgery is easier" mindset. That's hardly ever true.

I have a cousin that had di/di twins and didn’t even consider vaginal. I mentioned I was hoping for a vaginal birth and she said “oh no c section is was easier and the recovery isn’t that bad”...then another cousin that was there during this convo said she had 3 c sections (5 singletons) and they weren’t that bad. No support for my hopes at all. I blew it off and still hoped for a vaginal birth. I went into labor at 35+6 and delivered both vaginally. I am so grateful I had the opportunity and didn’t have to deal with recovering from a c section while my babies were in NICU for 10 and 14 days. Have them babies vaginally if you can!

I wish I could go naturally but my babies are breech. Natural birth is the safest way to go. It sounds like you have a great doctor! Good luck.

I’m pregnant with di di twins and I’m going to push for vaginal. As long as babies are in the correct position, why not?
I’d much rather avoid the recovery and hassle of a c section. Especially as you’ll have twins to look after too!

I had a vaginal delivery for my twins.  They were born 15 minutes apart and are now 7 months old.  My recovery was much easier than I expected and I felt fine after 2-3 weeks.  If you want vaginal and your doctor supports it I say forget what other people are saying and go for it!

My sister delivered vaginally with her twins. At the time of birth baby A was head down and baby B was transverse. Once baby A came out baby B went head down as hoped for. Don’t listen to others especially if they’ve never had twins! They just don’t know that it’s actually just as common to deliver vaginally with twins as it is with a singleton. Trust your doctor and do what’s best for you and those babes!

Do whatever you feel most comfortable with. Just know the babies could change positions at any point before or during labor and then you’d have a c section possibly. Being open minded and just wanting them to be born in the safest manner is perfect! 
I’ve heard it sucks to have to recover from a vaginal and Caesarian delivery if the second baby has issues and has to be cut out but you do what you have to do.
