Purple nips😱

Ok so I’ve had sore breast and even MORE SORE nipples for 5 straight days now and it doesn’t seem like it’s planning on stopping anytime soon. Today I took a bath and noticed my nipples were literally purple, areola is still “normal” color but the nipples themselves have a purple tint (not Willy wonka blueberry girl status, but definitely darker than usual) and my SO agreed. What would cause this? Is it normal? They’ve felt slightly heavier too

Period was May 4-9th and next will be June 8th (still over two weeks away and was three weeks away when the pain began)

I have 35 day cycles
