Swollen feet? When is it too much?

I’m only 21 weeks and I have one foot that is super swollen. This seems too early to me but I’m also a first time mom and wouldn’t really know. Is this normal? I plan on calling my doctor on Monday anyways because it just doesn’t seem right to me.

That seems early to have the normal pregnancy swelling. Mine didn’t start until around 35 weeks - and it was both feet/ankles and hands all at once. They did lab work to rule out preeclampsia so that’s why I am calling it “normal pregnancy swelling”

I had to be tested for a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in my lung) and they told me a major sign is one side being swollen. Call them.

Depends on a few things.
Are you on your feet all day? 
Is it hot where you live?
I would make sure you’re hydrated enough, but if you have other warning signs like headaches, dizziness, vision changes etc. then I would see your doctor/midwife and get them to do a urine test for protein, just to rule out preeclampsia.

I have that same problem too. . It's always my right foot it started when I was pregnant with my son..then some after pregnancy ...then started back up with my 2nd pregnancy...but everything is normal..just when I leave it hanging for to long or of I'm on my feet a while.

Usually it’s both and that early can be a sign something is wrong. I’d call your dr

I would call the after hours line for the doctor. The fact that one is swollen could indicate a problem that would be worth asking your provider about. Good luck!
