What was the first sign of fetal hydrops and how was it diagnosed?

Question

Been pretty worried because my son has alittle hydronephrosis. I’m not sure if that’s a sign of anything but I started researching fetal hydrops. None of my doctors said anything about him having it but would it be possible for it to show up later on even after the 20 week scan? I’m currently 32 weeks and 4 days but he’s measuring 35 weeks which made me concerned. I passed my GD test so I know it’s not that.

Fetal hydrops and hydronephrosis are two very different things. If you were not told your baby has this condition,  there is no reason to be concerned that they will develop it.

Didn’t get diagnosed until after birth. I had no complicating factors and she has it and it’s just being monitored now.

Ultrasounds can’t entirely predict much, I wouldn’t worry. Some babies just grow a little faster (or so it may seem). You never know what you’ll really have until you give birth
