Would you buy a home even if the house next to it was untidy, unkept, and grown up?
We are putting our home on the market, and this weekend we went out and bought fresh flowers, mulch, etc to spruce up the curb appeal. Overall, the neighborhood is well kept and neat, despite our neighbor. Their home is grown up with ivy/moss on the brick, weeds all around, the backyard is practically a jungle, code enforcement stickers all over the windows and doors, you get what I’m saying. I’m worried that this will effect our home selling/home value. My husband has gone over and offered to help mow/weed eat for free on numerous occasions which are all turned down. So at this point I think we just have to deal with it, which brings me to this question, would you buy a home even if your future neighbors home was unkept/messy? Would you offer less in this situation?
