My daughter is 10 years old, 4”11, and 130 pounds. No negativity please.

Yes she’s over weight. I would suggest you making healthier foods at home, walking in the park, swimming, really any activity that involves moving around.

Is she active? Or is she sitting inside on an electronic device?
Is her body actually showing she looks overweight or just in a cute baby fat phase?
If worried limit junk food for fridays and Saturdays so she doesn't binge and make healthy home made foods. No going out unless maybe a celebration. Be active with her. Kids eating habits and lazy habits usually take after the parents.

If you go by typical BMI standards she’s about 7 pounds over the recommended weight for her height, but BMI does not take body composition into account.  It does not consider muscle verses fat.  Your best bet would be to speak to her pediatrician.  If she is active and has a balanced diet I personally would not worry.

Kids hit growth spurts. Most kids are chunky at that age. She will grow out of it. Please don’t make a big deal out of it because all it will do is make her feel bad about herself! As long as she has healthy habits and is happy, leave her be. Artificial sugar is also way worse than natural sugar. Please take that out of your diet as well as hers as much as possible... there’s a study about it and it is worth reading!

Take in to consideration that if she is a little plump it could be genetics. Me personally I would not worry she will grow into her self as she grows older. As long as your not giving her a ton of sugar she will be just fine. My daughter is 4'11 as well and is around 120 to 130 pounds. I don't worry cause she's active and the taller she gets she slims out. So don't stress yourself mama and don't give her a complex.

I'd talk to her doctor without her there. If you do anything to help her lose weight please be careful how you do it. Encourage healthy eating and moving more as a family so she isn't singled out. I was around her age when I first started thinking of myself as fat and have struggled with my weight and self image ever since.

she is a bit. just try to adapt healthier lifestyles into both of your lives. it’s already a great thing that you are caring about her health and emotions. just make sure to not make her self conscious. even little comments can hurt. when i was her age i was an average height and weight but my doctor said “you’re not fat but you not skinny” i will always remember that because it caused/continued to make me feel self conscious about my weight. don’t put her on strict diets or make her feel bad about her body, but there is nothing wrong with being healthy.

I don't remember my weight but I was really chunky 4th-6th grade. I got my period the end of 5th grade and it seemed to thin me out. 
When I was chunky, i was aware and uncomfortable. I was told I needed to loose weight and it gave me a complex. 
I think it's important to talk about weight/health concerns with kids, just make sure to do not mean like my mom :/ I'd suggest starting to do more active things as a family, like walking more...even start parking further away to get steps in. And educate her on what makes foods healthy/unhealthy ect. I was told "you eat that whole cake it's going to make you fatter you know"...where as I tell my son (he's 4) "we eat a little bit of sugar to be healthy too much sugar can hurt our bodies" ect.

She is overweight. My 9 year old is as well (95 lbs) but that’s because her dad has raised her on fast food and fried or canned food. (She gained 30 lbs the first year she was with him)
We’ve just been to the doctors and I’ve had talks with her now that she’s with me full time again and made sure that she understands her weight isn’t so important as living a healthy lifestyle and THAT is what we’re focusing on. Nutrition (making good choices) and being active together. 
Focus on being healthier together.
