Thinking of hiring a maid once a week. Anyone else do this and find it helpful?

It’s only me, my husband and my one year old and I’m constantly overwhelmed with laundry and dishes even though I stay home. I just can’t find hours in the day. I mean, everything is just a mess always because at the end of the day I’d rather have quality family time or relax or bathe lmfao. I have a baby coming in a few months and I’m terrified. If I can’t manage now, how will I ever with a second baby? So I was thinking of somehow scrounging around money or cutting costs so a maid can come once a week to help with laundry and dishes. Do they do that? Anyone have a maid and find it’s worth the money?
