It’s a tooth... babies can be born with teeth, both of my children started teething at 8-12 weeks... 6 months is a general age, just like saying periods start at 12... every child is different

My first born started teething at 3 months and they finally cut at 4 months old.

Some babies start teething at 2 months other later on. My first started at 2months and got his first set at 5months then the second and third set at 7months. But let me tell you THEY GET A FEVER. Doctors say its not true but it is.
