How far is too far of an age gap?

Question

I know this sounds crazy but my son is 2 right now and I don’t want kids for another 3-5 years (I’ll be 30-32). Is that too far of an age gap? My sister and I were 2 years apart and I didn’t like her growing up so it was hard😂. What do you think? And what’s the age gap between your kids? Thanks!

There's plus and minuses to every choice or combination you choose. I'm older 2 are 4 years apart. My youngest is 12 years younger than my middle child. Bonus, I have a built in baby sitter now that she's 16 lol 
It just depends on what you want your family to look like and the dynamic you want. No right or wrong way to space your kids.

My two kids are 4 years apart. My youngest was born when I was 32, so pretty similar situation to what you’d be in. I love it. They get along great (mostly) and I think any drawbacks aren’t due to the specific age gap, but more because they have extremely different personalities. I think 3-5 years is a nice age gap overall.

I don’t like age gaps personally. My first two are 18 months apart and I found it easier to have them go thru similar experiences in milestones close together. They are best friends too. I have a 4 mo old now and so a 6 yr gap with the oldest. She’s very helpful but not as interested in her sibling as she’d rather be running around, playing outside, doing an art etc. I prefer kids close together if you can

I personally love the age gaps. Me and my brother fought like crazy as kids. We were 17 months apart. My daughter will be 10 in December and we have been ttc for 2 1/2 years. I’m really glad she will be much older and we got to spend so many years just us 2 girls and dad 🙂 I never really felt overwhelmed like I think my mom did 😂

I have a sister and she’s 10 years younger. We both hate it because we have a sibling but barely know each other.

My oldest was 5 when her sister was born. He age gap was great at first but it’s working against them now at 14 & 9. 
They have their moments and are protective of each other but they also sometimes can’t stand each other. 
They both love their younger siblings though (3 and 1 month) 
They are both very helpful though.
