Being a foster parent as a job

So someone I know is a foster parent she has 6 foster children all with special needs. She lives in a house that is big enough to be a mansion (which you would need a big house for 6 children). She does do a great job with the children and they are all well cared for. I would consider her being a foster parent as her job since that is her only source of income. For one of the children she gets $5,000 a month. I don’t know what she gets for all the others but since they all fall under the special needs category I’m sure it’s a decent amount.

In her case I do know the children are being well cared for. But she does make a lot of $$$ and lives a more luxurious life then most.

But I also hear there is a lot of hate for people who do what she does because they think it’s wrong to make being a foster parent a job and being someone’s source of income.

Do you think what she is doing is wrong or is she making a difference by taking care of these children?
