Crush or no crush on SO

My boyfriend has this female friend that lives in Cali. He says she always calls when he’s in Cali to hang out or prior to him being single. Well from my observation it seems a little weird that she only calls if he’s single and in the area. We’ve been to Cali to visit his great grandparents for Halloween and thanksgiving. I tell him well she didn’t call last time we were in Cali so what’s with that? He says he thinks I would say no anyway. I said it depends. Then he got interested as to why. It depends on why she wants to hang out with only you, why she wouldn’t include the two of us, etc. so I said no I wouldn’t be comfortable with you hanging out with a friend that has a crush on you. I asked him well when I’m back at home and he’s on the road ,would you go hang out with her and he said no.
