California or Washington

So my family is thinking about moving to Washington, we currently reside in California. My husband has family out there but I don’t, which isn’t a big deal to me as I don’t have family in CA either. We know what we like about WA and CA and the only cons we can see really about leaving CA is leaving friends and family.

Things to consider:

I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant

We have an 11 year old son

My mom lives with us

90% of my hubby’s family lives in CA

We have not bought a house yet but are planning to so if we move we want to do it within the next 2 years or so. Also my son is pretty close with his cousins out here in CA, he doesn’t know the family that well in WA.

I would just like input of what everyone else thinks and maybe some people who live in each state or have lived in CA and moved to WA. What do you think the pros and cons are of each? What else do you think I need to consider?
