do you take your baby to the beach?

i have a 10 week old and i live in florida, a few minutes from the beach. i haven’t really been this summer though, because i’m weary of bringing my baby with me.

as i’m sure you know, florida summer is like the literal pits of hell so i don’t plan on having baby in the sun, however i do need some other tips from mamas who bring their babies to the beach with them.

i just got this blow up water mat for tummy time, and my son loves it! i figured i could fill that up with cool water so he doesn’t overheat or anything. of course we’d be under an umbrella.

but my main question is, is it a big hassle? is going to the beach with such a young baby worth it? should i wait? i think the little one would enjoy it, but if it’s gonna make me lose my mind better not to....

on another note, i need an adult sized water mat 😂 imagine tanning while laying on that..the nice cool water. lol. thanks in advance.
