Dinner for Baby-shower?

I don’t want to do the traditional women only baby shower. I don’t want the games or opening presents. My ideal baby shower would be a dinner at a restaurant. I’m open to receiving gifts and I’d set up a table for that specifically. Do you ladies think it’s okay? Let me know your thoughts. TIA!

I had a lunch instead. We had it a local restaurant. No games or other typical baby shower stuff. We did open presents but I didn't want to. And it was coed. We had about 30 people and it was such a good time

i did a co ed bbq, provided burgers and beer. no games just a calendar for birth date guesses. used walmart’s baby shower invites “b is for baby bbq and beer”

That sounds great! I hate typical baby showers and am having a BBQ instead, but I also love your idea.

Go for it!  At my baby shower, I had everyone bring unwrapped gifts so that I didn’t have to unwrap: no mess, no garbage, everyone could see what I got, and I didn’t have to open presents in front of people!
