Marrying Young?

What are your guys’ opinion on people marrying young. I’m talking 18-22 years old. Do you think they are just rushing into things? Do you think it’s not true love? Talk about it in the comments!

My sister got married to her high school sweetheart in their early 20s (I don’t remember the exact age). They’re still married and have 2 children. Age doesn’t matter if you love someone and are willing to fight to make it work

I got married 2 weeks after graduating high school. I was 17, he was 18! 20 years and 4 kids later, life is good. It wasn’t always easy but we fought to make it work.

I’m getting married in September and moving to Louisiana the day after my wedding. I’m 18 and my fiancé is 21. I don’t think we’re moving too fast. I plan on spending the rest of my life with him.

i used to really want to get married young. i’m 21 now and my bf is 24. if he proposed to me tomorrow i’d say yes, but i’m also really okay with not getting married young. i can’t afford my dream wedding rn 🤷🏻‍♀️ so i’m cool with waiting until i’m older. we’ve talked about it and i believe he’ll pop the question in the next 2 years or so 🥰 we just moved in together and i don’t think there’s any reason to rush into getting engaged and then rush to have a wedding that isn’t really what i envision for myself. there’s nothing wrong with getting married young but i can’t imagine having gotten married to the guy i was dating when i was 18!

I’m 21 and getting married next August, I won’t be 22 til nov 15th. We’ve only been together a year aug 1st. I have a son from a previous relationship that is almost 2, whom he loves as his own. Raises him more than my sons real father. Our connection is like no other. This is very wrong but during my relationship with my sons father I always had feelings towards my now fiancé. My ex(sons father) and my fiancé used to be good friends and still are more like acquaintances. But I always had feelings for my fiancé in my previous relationship so I think that’s why our love is so strong for each other. Getting married young isn’t bad at all. If you’re ready, you’re ready!

I got married at 20, we had so many struggles in our marriage but we have survived so far. 5 years plus and still married.

I got married to my husband after almost a year of knowing him when i was 21. He proposed on our 6th month dating anniversary and we got married about 5 months later. We had met at college and out college does a 3 track system where you go to 2 of the 3 semesters per year. He had been assigned the first two and I was assigned the last two so there was only one semester where we would be together. Typically most people don't stay here when they're off track, they go back to visit family and such as a break. Well, he was from Alaska and I was from Oregon. Because we had to be separated it helped us decide what we wanted in the future. We both decided that we wanted to be together and we were ready to get married. We have been married for 5 1/2 years and have never had a fight. I think it was the best decision of my life and he is the perfect match for me. It may not be for everyone but it has been the best 5 years of my life.
