Does anyone have any suggestions to relieve a throat infection

I have a really bad sore throat and they are testing for strep throat and mono. The medicine that I’m taking isn’t relieving any of the pain and my tonsils are still super painful and swollen. I also have a really high fever and a really bad ear ache. Does anyone have any suggestions that can help with the pain  of my throat or my ear pain?

Ear pain- try a heating pad or a sock with rice heated up, whatever you have available. Laying the bad ear on heat should help! 
Throat- warm beverages. Tea or apple cider. Cinnamon is know for anti inflammatory and anti bacterial. If your throat is just scratchy, swallowing a tablespoon of honey coats it and helps!

They didn’t give you an antibiotic for an infection? They should’ve given you something at the doctor.

Honey + lemon + tea for throat. Go get a nasal spray as well ❤️ you’ll be good to go.
